The content of the course has been designed to facilitate conversations and to consolidate students’ previous learning in Spanish. Ideal for prospective travellers and people wanting to interact socially with the Spanish-speaking community both in Melbourne and overseas or those who would like to try their hand at learning a new language for enjoyment and cultural insight.

The course content will provide you with plenty of opportunities to constantly develop your Spanish skills.

The learning resource to be used at this level is divided in several sections to ensure that you have an introduction to the subject area to be discussed, an area to enforce reading and comprehension, a section to practice and communicate a grammar section and the last section to introduce you to cultural insight of the language.

At this level, topics will include to:

  • talk about habits and feelings
  • write a biography
  • design a house and place to live

By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Talk about habits, difficult situations
  • Make some recommendations
  • Describe feelings
  • Talk about plans and formulate questions about the reasons behind to achieve them
  • Talk about activities to learn a language
  • Talk about professions, movies and biographies
  • Talk about when things are happening and exchange information about present and past actions
  • Describe preferences
  • Describe a house and make some comparisons
  • Describe objects and locate them

Elementary 3 or the equivalent to approximately 50 hours of previous study.

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE PREVIOUS LEVEL AT CAE, YOU NEED TO CONTACT CAE FOR A SKILL ASSESSMENT PRIOR TO ENROLLING.

N.B. CAE withdrawal policy does not allow for refund or transfer once the course has started in the event that the level of the class is not suitable.
