Course Summary
Skills for the Leisure Industry prepares learners for employment opportunities in the leisure industry in metropolitan and regional Victoria.
Using the theme park as a context, the course introduces the leisure industry, its job roles and will provide learners with opportunities to build their employability skills to pathway to employment and/or further training.
Includes:
- information on entry-level jobs and roles in the leisure industry
- workplace expectations
- workplace communication
- workplace rights and the National Employment Standards
- work safety
- employability and interview skills.
When: course dates to be confirmed for Term 3
Location: City and Box Hill and Lilydale campuses
Cost: No cost, government funded (eligibility criteria apply – students must be permanent residents or have appropriate visa category).
