Course Summary

Aged Care is designed to support learners wishing to pathway into accredited aged care programs.

The activities support learners to gain vocationally contextualised foundational skills through practical and applied learning activities, helping to build confidence and develop skills. This learning program focuses closely on the role of personal care assistant.

Topics include:

  • Working in aged care
  • Safety basics
  • What is individual support?
  • Documents and records
  • Progress notes
  • Healthy eating
  • Body systems

Runs: regularly throughout the year, 10 x 4hour sessions

Location: Elgar & Lilydale campuses

Cost: No cost to Box Hill Students (eligibility criteria apply)
