Course Summary

This course guides beginners step-by-step through Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, while developing accurate pronunciation and reading skills. Designed for adults new to Korean or seeking extra support with reading and speaking, the course builds core language skills for travel, study, or work in Korea.

Course Objectives and Structure:

  • Identify and write Hangeul consonants and vowels.
  • Practice Korean pronunciation and rhythm for clear spoken communication.
  • Read basic Korean words and simple sentences.
  • Understand spelling rules and sound changes in Korean.
  • Explore the cultural and historical significance of Hangeul.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognise, pronounce, and write the Korean alphabet (Hangeul).
  • Read and pronounce common Korean words and phrases.
  • Build confidence in both written and spoken Korean.
