This course is designed for people who want to broaden their understanding and communication skills in Italian or those who would like to continue learning Italian for enjoyment and cultural insight. The content is presented in an accessible. friendly and inclusive manner and opportunities are provided throughout class for students to communicate in Italian.

  • Means of transport
  • Telling the time
  • Travelling by train
  • Travelling by plane
  • Cities and monuments
  • Family relationships
  • The family
  • A typical day
  • Routines

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  • Talk about means of transport.
  • Ask for and give travel information.
  • Ask for and tell the time.
  • Ask and say what time something happens.
  • Talk about distance.
  • Describe a city.
  • Express enthusiasm.
  • Write a short biography
  • Talk about past events
  • Converse using the past tense.
  • Talk about your family
  • Ask and say who something belongs to
  • Describe a day’s events
  • Talk about routines

Italian: Elementary 2 or the equivalent of about 35 hours of previous study.

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE PREVIOUS LEVEL AT CAE, YOU NEED TO CONTACT CAE FOR A SKILL ASSESSMENT PRIOR TO ENROLLING.
