Course Summary
German Advanced aims to improve a student’s oral, listening, reading, and writing skills by offering classes in German exclusively.
In our German Advanced course, we use the textbook Aspekte neu Mittelstufe Deutsch Teil 2 B2. Additional material that explores Germany East and West in the past and present will be provided.
In addition to revising simple grammar, we will also study more complex idioms and structures. Students are asked to conduct research and present presentations related to German historical and political figures. Depending on student interest, German culture, and politics will be discussed.
The lesson begins with students describing their activities in German, which is followed by other students asking questions. Thus, all skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing are treated in a relaxed, friendly environment.
Prerequisites
It is expected students have done four or five years of German part-time study.
