Learn to be assertive even with unreasonable people. Jacquie Wise will show you how to say no without guilt, set boundaries, ask for what you want, be diplomatically firm, and more.

  • The differences between being passive, aggressive and assertive.
  • You have been taught to behave in a passive way.
  • Hear the stories of others and understand that you are not alone.
  • Learn the principles of assertive communication.
  • Find out what it takes to be diplomatically firm.
  • Deal with bullies, drama queens and other difficult people.
  • Develop scripts in class of what to say and, if you like, role-play how to say it.
  • Stand firm and say calm in the face of conflict and confrontation.
  • Deal with criticism and angry people.
  • Learn to ask for what you want.
  • Learn what are reasonable boundaries to set and how to keep them.
  • Learn to say no without guilt.
  • Turn conflict into constructive situations and relationships.

You will learn all the techniques you need to be able to stand firm with confidence. You will have a step-by-step process for handling the various challenging situations and people in your life.

This course is for anyone who has been conditioned to succumb to other people’s demands, who give in too quickly to pressure from others, and who believe that being assertive means becoming less ‘nice.’

Jacquie Wise has been a psychotherapist in private practice for 40 years, specialising in self-esteem and confidence issues. Her warm and lively workshops are run like individual coaching sessions, designed to transform lives.
