Take your Premiere Pro skills to the next level.  Explore technical and creative techniques to enhance your editing skills. Learn tips to improve the creative editing process and become a more efficient editor. Topics include colour grading, compositing, motion animation, working with effects, learning shortcuts,  customising the keyboard as well as audio editing & mixing. With an emphasis on a practical “Hands On” approach, participants will work with different genres of footage.

Working with drama and documentary resources, participants will learn how to assemble, refine, colour grade and sound mix footage to create several short scenes.  Exporting the final video for online distribution.

Shaun Smith has worked in the film industry since the mid 1980s in various crew, producing and post production roles in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. He’s worked as an editor and assistant editor for over 20 years on a wide range of projects with subjects and clients ranging from HBO to Chopper Read. Feature films include The Eye of the Storm, Kath and Kimderella plus TV drama series, Wentworth and the ABC Documentaries, Sidney Nolan & Australia’s Open.

Film Editing with Adobe Premiere Pro - Introductory course or equivalent level of experience.

 

This course is targeted at those who have basic video editing experience looking to improve and hone their editing skills.

Course is run on Mac computers.
