Course Summary
Some people hold that the existence of God can be rationally proved. Others say that while this is not possible, religious belief is well worth having because of the benefits it may bring. A third view is that religious belief is respectable as a matter of faith rather than reason. Join Dr Douglas Adeney to consider some famous lines of thought within each of these approaches.
Presenter Dr Douglas Adeney lectured in philosophy for many years at Melbourne State College and then the University of Melbourne. Since 2011 he has greatly enjoyed teaching numerous CAE philosophy courses.
